Hannaneh Mahmoodi

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of British Columbia (UBC). I support children and youth with autism and other developmental disabilities across home, school, daycare, and community settings.

My work focuses on building meaningful skills in communication, social understanding, emotional regulation, play, adaptive functioning, academics, and independence. I conduct assessments and develop individualized programs based on each child’s strengths, needs, and priorities.

My approach combines Natural Environment Teaching (NET), play-based learning, and structured methods such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT). I closely monitor progress and use data to guide clinical decisions, adjust teaching strategies, and support meaningful generalization across everyday environments.

I have experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Indigenous, immigrant, and refugee families. I value each family’s goals, culture, and priorities and strive to provide respectful, culturally responsive support.
