About Disha
I am a Registered Occupational Therapist in British Columbia with over 12 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy. I hold a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOTh) from KEM Hospital, India, and certified in Sensory Integration through the University of Southern California (USC).
My extensive clinical journey includes establishing and running my own pediatric practice, D_OT Clinic, in Mumbai from 2019 to 2024. I also gained international clinical exposure at Therapy West in California under the mentorship of renowned Sensory Integration educator Dr. Erna Blanche and have provided pediatric occupational therapy services in Canada for the past two years.
With experience in clinical leadership as an OT Practice Lead and mentoring occupational therapy students from the University of British Columbia, I bring a combination of advanced clinical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a collaborative approach to care. I am passionate about supporting children with sensory, motor, and developmental challenges through individualized, play-based therapy while empowering families with practical strategies that support their child's independence and participation in everyday life.
